Roof...

mood: lifted

music: Katie Melua - My aphrodisiac is you

After I've written down the poetry I had to - really had to catch some fresh air.

So I went up the stairs to the roof and with shaking hands I lit a cigarette (no pain reliever) I scrounged off Cameron before. Don't look surprised - I know I am a non-smoker ... but I needed it.

Staring in the sky I inhaled deeply and thought about what I've written, thought about my feelings and our morning ... and I heard that song in my head:

"My Aphrodisiac Is You"
Some people say
That oysters make you come on strong,
But I don't buy it, I don't believe my diet turns me on.
Won't take no pills,
That's the last thing that I need to do,
I can't deny it,
My aphrodisiac is you.
Alright, I could sniff some powdered rhino horn,
And go to bed in rubber gloves.
But I don't need no stimulation,
Potions, balms or embrocation,
I'm in love,
In other words...
Don't smoke no grass,
Or opium from old Hong Kong,
That hubble-bubble
Just makes me see you double
All night long.
Don't waste my time
With Spanish fly and roots to chew,
They cause me trouble,
Because my aphrodisiac is you.
Alright, I could sniff some powdered rhino horn,
And go to bed in rubber gloves.
But I don't need no stimulation,
Potions, balms or embrocation,
I'm in love,
In other words...
Some people like
To read the khama sutra first,
But I don't need it
I think if I should read it I'd be worse;
Don't ask me why,
Because baby,
I ain't got a clue.
I just concede it,
My aphrodisiac Is you
I was just humming that song and repeating "My aphrodisiac is you ...", when the door flung open and Gregory looked around. "Here you are! What are you doing up here?" he asked and gave me an inquiring look. I waved with the cigarette and grinned "Just needed that one...", he approached and murmured "I read your poetry", I swallowed "And... do you like it?"
He grabbed my collar and pulled me closer "I'll show you how I liked it!" I couldn't avoid sighing and the cigarette fell out of my hand the very moment our lips met. He made all the words come true ... and it was like feeling in heaven.
Afterwards he looked at me and we were both still panting "Your eyes are like ebony in that moment ..." he whispered, I smiled "And yours are like the deep blue sea...". We both grinned and rearragend our clothes. Gregory cleared his throat "What about lunch now?", I nodded "Good idea!"
So we made our way down the stairs again ...
